Grazie al designer Kim Jones arriva lo stile preppy della più contemporanea american school, con l’impronta letteraria di tre storiche icone: Truman Capote, Allen Ginsberg e Gore Vidal. Lo spirito di libertà della loro penna si ritrova nei leisurewear e nella maglieria. La fermezza delle loro idee negli abiti destinati alle occasioni formali. La firma Vuitton si legge tra le righe. La “L” e la “V” del marchio compaiono discrete e quasi invisibili nei motivi folk del maglione, nelle impunture del piumino blu navy e nella suola delle scarpe. Senza contare il motivo a graffito di Stephen Sprouse, finalmente applicato anche alla moda maschile, e il logo della prima steamer bag, oggi rispolverato nel prêt-à-porter. Accattivanti le stringate in pelle, eleganti francesine con la praticità del carrarmato.

The American preppy style appears thanks to the fashion designer Kim Jones, with a literary signature of three historical icons: Truman Capote, Allen Ginsberg and Gore Vidal. The spirit of freedom of their pens can be found in the leisurewear and the knitwear. The firmness of their ideas in the formal wear. The Vuitton logo can be read between the lines. The “L” and the “V” of the brand show up in a discrete and almost invisible way in the folk pattern of the jumper, in the stitching of the navy blue down jacket and the shoes’ sole. Without forgetting the Stephen Sprouse graffiti-print, finally applied in menswear, and the logo of the first steamer bag, recently taken in the prêt-à-porter. The leather lace-up shoes are totally engaging, mixing the French elegance with the military pragmatism.
